Zeolites are classified into various types based on different application needs, primarily including 3A, 4A, 5A, and 13X. Each zeolite has different pore sizes and adsorption characteristics; therefore, the specific application scenario and requirements must be considered when selecting a zeolite.
3A zeolite: Mainly used for adsorbing small molecule gases such as water and ammonia. Its pore size is relatively small, suitable for air drying and separation of some gases.
4A zeolite: Widely used in gas separation and purification, suitable for adsorbing water, carbon dioxide, and some small-molecule hydrocarbons.
5A zeolite: Has a larger pore size, suitable for separating larger molecule gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, and some rare gases.
13X zeolite: Has a larger pore size and adsorption capacity, suitable for efficiently adsorbing water, carbon dioxide, and other impurities, often used in air purification and the preparation of high-purity gases.
